“After my third release from prison, doubts filled me, but I dreamed of a program for people like me. A decade later, in2Action began. Witnessing God’s work in transforming lives fills me with unmatched excitement and gratitude. Every day, I feel blessed seeing once hardened criminals embrace redemption, becoming valuable members of society.”

I am so excited to join in2Action as the new Director of Operations! For over 30 years, I’ve dedicated my career to public service, but it’s my passion for helping people in recovery—especially those involved in the justice system—that truly lights me up. Seeing lives change and hope grow fills me with gratitude every day. Stepping into this role feels like a natural progression of my journey, and I’m honored to contribute to the meaningful work that in2Action is doing.

We as in2Action staff are compelled by the love of Christ to offer hope to the disenfranchised by identifying and addressing all legitimate needs. I am thrilled to be a part of the transformation that takes place in our residents as they are housed, provided for, and loved.

To me, in2Action is all about relationships. It is said that the opposite of addiction is connection, and in2Action forms connections through relationships with each other, the community, and our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I am blessed to be able to work with these men and show them a path that was once shown to me.

Working at in2Action has given my life renewed purpose. No longer stuck in a dead-end job, I’m now enrolled at MACC and pursuing my dream of earning a master’s in social work. My goal is to help individuals struggling with addiction or justice involvement discover their dreams and find the courage to pursue them.

God and life finally aligned to put me in the position I am in today with In2Action. Being able to mentor men in recovery based on Gods terms has been a dream of mine for a while now and I am able to do that here. Having 14 years of sobriety gives me the opportunity to be an example that long term sobriety is possible for all of us.

The opportunity to walk alongside men who are seeking to transform themselves is powerful. Working as a Recovery Coach I believe relationships are vital to a life of purpose and success. I am honored to be able to walk with these men as they renew their mind and work toward their purpose. A friend of mine says periodically “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go with friends

After many years of poor decisions and debilitating addiction I have hit the 4-year sobriety mark. I owe that to God, In2@Action, and the team in place here. I am grateful and proud to be on that team, and strive to give back to others as they have done for me.

I am native to Mid-Missouri and have been in recovery for five years when accepting this position, thanks to the grace of God as I know him. When I prayed for purpose, God chose to put In2Action in my path, and I followed in faith. I have dreamed of having a career in helping others find reprieve from their struggles for a long time, and to know that I can share my experience while learning myself is nothing short of a blessing. Seeing the peace wash over the face of the residents when we instill hope and stand unified with them is beyond words. Ultimately, I came searching for purpose. I found so much more. I found my home.

I am originally from Florida but I was raised in Missouri from the time I was 2. I have struggled with addiction since I was 13 years old. I now have almost 4 years clean and I absolutely love my life in recovery. I never thought I would be where I’m at today but thanks to in2Action giving me a chance, I get to help other people in their recovery journeys.
Everyone can achieve long term recovery with the right support and encouragement!
