Question:  What bounces up and down for 90 minutes and then hides in an underground cave?

Answer:  A group of young men from in2Action!  That’s exactly what six of our residents did on Wednesday, June 13th, along with one staff member and a volunteer.  First, they enjoyed a fitness class at Sky Zone in Columbia – a trampoline park that features a variety of fun opportunities to play and jump around.  Then they drove to Versailles to tour Jacob’s Cave, a local landmark.  They also stopped at a couple places along the way to stretch and grab a bite to eat.

For some of these guys, it was the first time they had the opportunity to experience this kind of activity in a long time.  At least one of the residents said he had never been in a cave before.  There were jokes and much laughter along the way, and it was refreshing for the group to take a break from the daily routine and to enjoy some good wholesome fun.

More importantly, it was a golden opportunity for the gentlemen to get to know each other better and to further strengthen the bonds between them.  Relationships are at the heart of what in2Action is all about.  Lives are transformed when the guys live and eat together, work and play together, open up and share with each other, and just hang out and enjoy each other.  The entire program at in2Action is designed to foster healthy relationships – both vertically (with God) and horizontally (with others).  Through daily devotions, daily skill drills, weekly house meetings, Game Nights, occasional outings, and through simply living together, residents form meaningful friendships that bolster their ability to live as successful, productive members of our community.  And that’s something to jump up and down about!
