Now a LCSW, Dan serves as Executive Director at in2Action and teaches criminal justice courses at MU in the School of Social Work. Hanneken is an experienced presenter and published author on the issue of reentry. Dan is happily married to Stephanie, who is also his biggest fan. In his spare time, Dan is an avid distance runner and he loves to spend time with his wife.<br \/>\u201cImmediately after my 3rd release from prison I thought to myself, \u2018there is no way I can ever stay out\u2019. I remember telling myself if I did manage to stay out, I would someday like to start a program so people like me might have a chance. It was about ten years later when in2Action was created. Nothing excites me more than watching God at work in the hearts and lives of the men we serve. Today, Dorn serves with a national organization providing consultation to other state behavioral health departments and community behavioral health organizations. He and his wife, Marcella, have two adult children and three grandchildren.<\/p>\n<p><i>\u201cI had heard Dan give his testimony at our church, so I was not surprised when he contacted me to inquire about what in2Action would need to do to be certified by the Department of Mental Health to provide substance use disorder counseling services. That first contact led to a number of opportunities to be engaged with the men of In-2-Action, including involvement in planning for the ROC, and a monthly dinner in our home with several of the men. He began his career in IT as a Programmer at Shelter Insurance and retired from there in 2010. Since his retirement, Pat has been involved with the Recovery Ministry at Woodcrest Chapel, Prison Ministry at Algoa Correctional Center, Phoenix Programs, Love Columbia and in2Action, where he volunteers and serves as a board member.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cGetting involved with in2Action is one of the most rewarding experiences I\u2019ve had in life. Interactions and fellowship with the men is something I look forward to each week. Seeing them turn their lives around and grow as men and as followers of Christ is a blessing. His joys in life are family, vegetable gardening, bird watching and historical studies.&nbsp; Scott retired as Executive Director of the Missouri Coalition of Recovery Support Providers.&nbsp; Prior to his retirement, Scott provided behavioral health consulting services and was a founding board member for Jefferson City\u2019s Healing House and New Beginnings Inc.&nbsp; In 2010, he retired from his position of Chief State Supervisor for the Board of Probation and Parole, following a 33 year career in adult community corrections. Scott volunteers his time with a variety of community organizations and church groups.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cMy faith is foundational to how I spend my time.&nbsp; My professional and life experience lead me to in2Action and a relationship with Dan. I see God\u2019s work in Dan\u2019s hands and believe the in2Action model of service is second to none.&nbsp; I am the child of alcoholic parents. Despite my father and mother\u2019s battles with alcohol, they were good, loving parents.&nbsp; While I did endure the pain and hurt, more importantly I experienced the miracle and joys of recovery with my father.&nbsp; She attended William Jewell College in Liberty, MO for a year and half before transferring to the University of Missouri.&nbsp;&nbsp; After graduation in 1989, she never left Columbia and her entire family has also moved to Columbia.&nbsp; Heather spent 25 years in the hospitality industry with the last 10 as General Manager of the Holiday Inn Executive Center and the Stoney Creek Hotel &amp; Conference Center.&nbsp; In September 2020, Heather chose a role with Liberty Family Medicine as the Business Development Manager.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cI met Dan through my IMPACT Rotary club.&nbsp; I was completely entranced in the story Dan shared.&nbsp; I didn\u2019t know until the end that he was sharing a very personal story\u2026 his own and the beginnings of in2Action.&nbsp; From that moment, the only question was, \u201chow can I help?\u201d&nbsp; It started with a monthly dinner, sharing in fellowship with the men at in2Action.&nbsp; This dinner has grown in attendance and fulfillment.&nbsp; That same year we started providing Christmas for the residents and spending Christmas morning with them.&nbsp; Board Treasurer<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Nathan Rages graduated from Truman State University in 1995 with a degree in Accounting.&nbsp; He spent 16 years working as a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Financial Planner in a St. Louis CPA firm.&nbsp; Following a career change in 2012, he now serves as pastor of Redeeming Grace Church in Columbia, MO.&nbsp; He is happily married to Lorri, and they have two adult children.&nbsp; His interests include reading, home repair, and travel.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cI first learned about Dan Hanneken and in2Action in 2016 after our church became involved in inmate ministry at the Boone County Jail and in the Missouri Department of Corrections.&nbsp; I was already seeing inmates\u2019 difficulty transitioning successfully into the community and the need for a Christ-centered support ministry.&nbsp; I joined the in2Action board in 2017 to assist primarily with accounting and finance issues.&nbsp; Board Member<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Doreen worked in the corporate sector for 35 years.\u00a0 She worked for the largest printing ink company in the world.\u00a0 She left corporate life to attend Loyola University, Chicago, where she earned a Master of Divinity in 2009. She then became a certified Pastoral Associate for the Archdiocese of Chicago for 10 years. Upon retirement, she moved to Missouri to be nearer to family. She has two children.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cWhile working for the Catholic churches in Chicago I moved toward the social justice aspect of pastoring.\u00a0 I came across many people who needed help.\u00a0 When I retired and moved to Jefferson City I was advised to contact the prisons for volunteer opportunities. He has spent his career in government and legislative affairs, working in nonprofits and trade associations. Nick now serves as Government Relations Manager for Transfr, a\u00a0national company using virtual reality to expand access to education and workforce development. In this role, he builds partnerships and advances policies across the Midwest to increase access to upward mobility and life sustaining careers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;I first learned about In2Action and Dan&#8217;s incredible passion in 2019 when I saw him speak at the Columbia Chamber of Commerce.
